Default Changes to RA

I know that RA isn't considered high PvP, but the format does need help. Currently it is plagued by alot of leavers, leechers, and griefers. The idea that I have would change RA from being a team event with random teammates thrown together to an individual free-for-all killpoint match.

How this would work, would be to have each player face off against 5 other players (total of 6 players per match) for a 3 minute match. Whenever someone dies they are rezzed after a 5 second wait to get them back into the match with no DP. The winner is the person with the most points at the end of the 3 minutes. How to earn points is simple, kill other people. Each persons death is worth 100 points that is split up between the individuals that do damage to the target within the 5 second time frame prior to death. The perentage of the damage done by each individual that assisted in the death in this time period recieves that many points for it to their point total. (ie. you did 54% of the damage in the 5 second window so you recieve 54 points) This is set-up this way so that there is no kill stealing and each person gets credit for their contribution. At the end of the match, each person recieves 1 balthazar faction for each point earned in the match and depending on how you place you get bonus faction as well.

1st place: +1000 BF
2nd place: +500 BF
3rd place: +250 BF

For those title hounds, Anet can create a new title to go with this new format. An example would be to call it the Skirmisher Title where you gain 2 points towards it by winning first place and 1 point by taking second place. The title track would be as follows:
1st Level: need 100 points
2nd Level: need 250 points
3rd Level: need 450 points
4th Level: need 700 points
5th Level: need 1000 points

I really think that this could be a fun format to play in and something that GW currently does not offer.

This is retarded. So monks, degen-based characters, and disruption characters are all scrapped in favor for a massive sin + warrior + derv melee bash-off?

I agree, the idea works too much in favor to some classes. Granted, the RA need some revising but this is not the way to do it.

Agreed. Not the way to go. This will just increase the number of touch rangers, 55 monks, and tera tanks and make mesmers and necros almost worthless (sort of).

RA does what it is meant to do. Its a training area to make people learn the basics of PvP (positioning, teamwork, and using res sigs quickly). Make it 1v1 and people won't learn anything.

This idea seems to completely go against the idea of RA, and of course puts a big sign on the RA tha says "Monks Need not enter, or any other caster for that matter"

/Not signed, torn up, put in shredder then burned for good measure

Just make rezes mandatory, unless you have 10+ pts in healing as a monk, rit, or paragon...

very bad idea. GW is not about kill/death ration or DPS, its about what you do for your team. THe idea of a free for all deathmatch just doesnt work. Everyone would just run A/W, A/Mo, W/MO, W/E, D/Mo, D/W, and the occasional R/N for lulz.

You mean it's bad to run daggers on a monk? There's nothing better than having zealous daggers of defense and hitting a necro next to you for energy!

Edit: Oh right, I forgot to comment that this is possibly one of the worst ideas I've seen (though 90% of the suggestions forum is filled with bad ideas). Why do people keep making posts like this without taking all professions into account. All it does is show how myopic they are and how little they understand about the game. And a 5 second window is way too small. Even kill count in HA has a 10 second window I believe.

Though I really think in this format, long duration degen hexes might work. A conjure phantasm mesmer can get 100 degen over 10 seconds, meaning he'll get about 20 points a kill regardless of who's killed?
